About Us

The Club is open to all over 11 now that we have formed a Junior Section. Payment is by way of Annual Subscription (Ł40 - 2011) and the green is available for play every afternoon from 24 April to 3 October, weather permitting. We have a full list of ‘friendly’ competitive matches, i.e. non-league, and this appeals to people who want to play bowls without the pressure that goes with the leagues. Six Club Competitions are held during the season and we have a Friday Triples tournament running through July to mid August. The Memorial Trophy (Triples) is played for annually and we also have a Charity games towards the end of the season. This season Captain Pat Moore organised a Captains Day competition which was won by Peter Hart.

Monday and Friday afternoons, and Sunday mornings 10.30 - 12.00 are set-aside for informal Club sessions and fellowship. Part of the Sunday morning session is available for coaching and help to improve your game.

There is ample car parking, an attractive pavilion which seats 40 for meals and a licensed bar which is open on match days.

The ladies have an additional fixture list and the men play in local competitions.

We are affiliated to Bowls England, Bedfordshire County Bowling Association and the Bedfordshire County Women's Bowling Association. Association.
